Kenya Power Eyes Over 500,000 Electric Cooking Customers

Nairobi — Kenya Power targets increasing its users of electric cooking to over 500,000 from 90,000 currently in three years. This was disclosed by the company's managing director (MD) and CEO, Joseph Siror, at the launch of the Global eCooking Coalition (GeCCo) during Africa Climate Week in Nairobi, which ended on Wednesday.

The future of the Berbera cement factory or factories

Recently, a memorandum of understanding was signed between MSG group and a subsidiary of Sinoma (TCDRI — Sinoma), to construct an 1,9 million tonnes integrated cement plant, in the vicinity of Berbera. The estimated cost would be around 300 million US dollars, the estimation is based on a similar sized Sinoma cement project in Dire Dawa Ethiopia.
